This vintage shoe photo is from a 1960 McCall's article about the "new shoes" for 1960. In reality, they are not all that different from the shoes you might find today. Most of the shoes in the full article were two color affairs, with a heavy emphasis on orange, yellow, and white, although that could be purely an editorial thing. I am particularly fond of the green tractor soled shoe in the middle.
I like flats, or semi flats, although they make me look shorter and even more dumpy than I really am, so recently I have been moving more toward heels. However, flats are fun and very youthful, so everyone should have at least a dozen pairs, right?
